Privacy

ICSA Global is committed to protecting your privacy online. ICSA Global will protect any personal information provided during the users visit. By continuing to use this website, you are agreeing to the terms of this privacy policy.

What is Personal Information?
Personal information is any information that you provide to identify yourself (e.g. email address, postal address, telephone numbers, name, and date of birth). You are also able to voluntarily provide additional personal details to partake in certain sections of our website such as the Wall of Stories and membership.

How is this information collected?
Personal information is collected when you contact us, donate to ICSA Global, register for the newsletter or other publications, add your story to the Wall of Stories and apply to be a member of ICSA Global.

How is my personal information stored?
All personal information collected is stored and processed in the UK office, and is subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Other than as set out in this policy, and as required by law, a user’s personal information is not shared with third parties, or used in any other way unless agreed by the user.

When we collect your personal information we use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access. However, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. As a result, whilst ICSA Global tries to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to us and the user does so at their own risk.

How is my personal information used?
ICSA Global use your information in the ways set out below unless the user is specifically notified otherwise:

ICSA Global use your information to provide you with information or to deliver the service you have requested and to provide you with additional services that they believe may be of interest to you.

ICSA Global may also use your information for administrative purposes, to let you know about changes to our services and, if you agree, as part of our fundraising activities.

We will not sell your details to any third parties but we may sometimes also share your information with our trusted service providers who are authorised to act on our behalf. In these circumstances we always require strict compliance with our instructions and, in the case of third party organisations, require that your personal information is not used for their own business purposes.

Cookies

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file passed to your computer, mobile phone or other device, through your web browser, so the website remembers who you are between pages or visits.

How does ICSA Global use cookies?
ICSA Global uses cookies to give you a more personalised web experience. In addition, we use cookies to track how this website is used via Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to help gather statistics on how people use this website. For example, which country the user is from, and which pages you visit while on the website.

We use this information in several ways. For example, we look at how our website is being used so we can assess how well it is working and to help us make decisions about how to improve it. We also use this information to help us decide whether there are other information resources we could develop to meet the needs of people visiting the website.

We can also use this information in support reporting on how successful a project has been e.g. to report on how many people are accessing relevant pages of the website.

What if I do not want to use cookies?
If you do not wish to have cookies stored on your computer you can easily change your web browser to refuse cookies, or to let you know when you get a new cookie. You need to refer to your internet browser’s instructions by clicking on the ‘Help’ menu. Refusing cookies, however, can restrict your use of websites. To enjoy the website to the full we recommend you leave cookies switched on.

Changes to the policy
If ICSA Global decide to change their privacy and cookie policy, they will post those changes here and the last date on which the privacy policy was updated will be listed below. ICSA Global encourages you to review this page from time to time.
